A TASTE OF FRIENDSHIPAssigned Project Fall 2023 A TASTE OF FRIENDSHIP was a collection where the concept was given to us, and we were tasked with interpreting it to create our own garments using the provided fabrics. I drew inspiration from boxing, using it as a metaphor for how society consumes violence for entertainment, watching fighters beat each other for money and spectacle. I designed a boxer’s gown, incorporating traditional craft techniques, and transformed it into a double-breasted coat with a unique closure system, reflecting the complex relationship between community, competition, and consumption.
